AGTA Spectrum Award™️ winning designer Ashleigh Branstetter submitted her first entries into the competition in and 2009 the competition in and 2009. Right out of the shoot, she took home and third place in business she took home and third place in Business Day Wear with her 32.10 karat Rubelite Ring. For her next competition, she was awarded two more Spectrum Trophies for second place in Business Day Wear for her Chalcedony briolette and moss Diamonds sliced earrings, and a Manufacturing Honors in Men's Wear for her London Blue Topaz bullet cufflinks. Ashleigh's Spectrum award-winning pieces were featured in Florida International Magazine, best jewelry design www.brides.com, and at the Oscars Awards Ceremony.
Ashleigh started as a pre-med major at Louisiana State University. She then took the summer session in a figure-drawing class at Parsons School of Design in New York and discovered her future path. Branstetter returned to LSU, changed her major to Art, and fell in love with painting and drawing. She took an elective course in jewelry making and has never looked back. Her satisfaction is its greatest when she is at the bench.
As long as Ashleigh can remember, she has always been drawn to simplicity, beautiful designs, and creating things. Her collections always draw inspiration from this, and the natural beauty in this world. From a design-focused background, beginning in painting and drawing, and always had a love of jewelry, as an award-winning jeweler whose designs illustrate her belief that simplicity is the ultimate sophistication.
Operating from her New Orleans studio, she handcrafts each from a sketch to the finished work. She meticulously chooses her diamonds, pearls, and precious stones, using minimal tools and drawing on traditional techniques to create elegant, timeless, and highly refined jewelry.
